What Is Buyer Protection?

When you purchase an item on Pet Attix, a Buyer Protection fee of 10% of the item price plus £0.80 is automatically added at checkout.

This fee helps us:

  • Provide secure in-app payments
  • Offer integrated shipping with tracking
  • Support dispute resolution and moderation
  • Step in if something goes wrong with your order

Buyer Protection ensures every purchase is backed by Pet Attix support—not left to chance.

What Buyer Protection Covers

Buyer Protection applies if an item:

  • Does not arrive
  • Arrives damaged
  • Is significantly not as described in the original listing

All transactions must be completed within the Pet Attix app, including payment and shipping.

What Buyer Protection Does Not Cover

Buyer Protection does not apply to:

  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse
  • Minor wear clearly shown or described in the listing
  • Damage caused after delivery
  • Items collected in person or paid for outside the app
  • Delays caused by postal services, weather, or customs (unless the item is confirmed lost)

How Buyer Protection Works

    If there's an issue, reach out to the seller to resolve it.

Dispute Review & Outcomes

If a dispute is raised:

  • Pet Attix may request photos, tracking details, and messages.
  • We'll review the case fairly for both buyer and seller.
  • Outcomes may include:
    • — Partial or full refund (where applicable)
    • — No action if the claim isn't eligible
    • — Account warnings or restrictions if misuse is identified

Pet Attix reserves the right to make the final decision on Buyer Protection claims.

Why Buyer Protection Is Required

Buyer Protection helps keep Pet Attix safe, fair, and reliable for everyone. It allows us to:

  • Prevent fraud
  • Support both buyers and sellers
  • Maintain a trusted marketplace for pet lovers

The fee is non-refundable once a transaction is completed, unless required by law.

Important Notes

  • Buyer Protection is not optional and applies to all shipped orders.
  • Abuse of Buyer Protection (false claims) may result in account restrictions.
  • Sellers benefit from Buyer Protection through structured dispute handling and reduced chargebacks.
